Marie Moore is a Rehabilitation Counselor at OTAP.  In September, Marie began spending three days a week at the Olean CR to provide additional support to staff and residents during a difficult time.  At the CR, Marie was asked to take over a caseload of two consumers and assist with providing an additional four restorative services to other consumers who were not on her caseload.  With her friendly, warm, caring manner, Marie quickly connected with the consumers at the CR including one who stated before meeting Marie that she would not talk to her.  After talking with Marie for a few minutes, the consumer reported that she liked Marie. Marie cheerfully completes any task that staff requests.  When Marie sees a chance to help with the workload, she volunteers and follows through. Recently, Marie provided valuable assistance with searching for an apartment for a consumer in urgent need of finding one.  Marie is taking a major role with linking that consumer to community resources.  Marie has also been helping another consumer with the process of applying to Job Corp.  Marie's cheerful pleasant, helpful attitude is an invaluable asset everydayCongratulations Maria!
