Questions & Answers
What is open enrollment?
- Open Enrollment is your once per year opportunity to make changes, enroll for the first time, add or remove dependents.
- Decisions made during Open Enrollment are generally binding for the entire plan year and cannot be changed until next year's Open Enrollment unless there is a qualifying event.
What's new in STEL's health plan for 2020-2021?
Well, there are a few important changes you should know. All changes are effective December 1, 2020, unless otherwise noted.
- The employee contribution for the SINGLE plan will remain the same at $0.00/mo.. The employee contribution for the FAMILY plan will increase to $225.00/mo.. This will result in a $112.50 payroll deduction per paycheck for the first two paychecks of each month.
- NO changes to STEL's plan deductible for medical related services.
- Maintenance prescriptions (monthly on-going medications) will now be required to be ordered and processed through CAREMARK/CVS mail order service OR available for pickup at your local CVS pharmacy. You will only pay two co-pays instead of three for a 90 day supply of your medication. Please see the Open Enrollment 2020-2021 Online Video below for additional information. Note: the most important thing to remember is you can contact Rx Benefits Member Services department at 800.334.8134. Rx Benefits Member Services can first explain the process to you then warm transfer you over to Caremark’s mail order team. If you have a valid 90-day prescription at another pharmacy, Caremark can request for the prescription to be transferred. If you only have a 30-day supply prescription, you will need to contact your physician and request a 90-day supply prescription. You will need to tell your physician/provider that CVS Caremark mail order pharmacy is your new pharmacy and the phone number is 800-966-5772.
- Beginning January 1, 2021, our plan will have a new generic (dispense as written) policy. This policy will ensure you and your prescriber are choosing generic medications when available. Please see the Open Enrollment 2020-2021 Online Video below for additional information.
- Beginning January 1, 2021, the cost of your specialty medication is changing! Pay $0 with The PrudentRx Copay Program. As part of your prescription plan with CVS Caremark, the PrudentRx Copay Program allows you to get your specialty medications at no cost to you. That means $0 out-of-pocket for any covered specialty medications on your plan’s Exclusive Specialty Drug List when you fill at CVS Specialty. If Applicable: PLEASE REFERENCE LETTER FROM RxBENEFITS FOR MORE DETAILS.
- Added FITWORKS activity to earn your Fitworks points.
