STEL is affiliated with several local area credit unions and banks offering high quality banking services to our staff members. Credit Unions - Alco Federal Credit Union - Membership is available to all persons who live, work, worship or attend school in, and business and other legal entities located in Allegany County, New York.
- Greater Woodlawn Federal Credit Union - Membership is available to all STEL employees employed in departments in Gowanda, Jamestown, and Dunkirk, NY. Other membership eligibility is available, check with a credit union representative.
- Olean Community Federal Credit Union - Membership is available to persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in the City of Olean and the following Cattaraugus County townships: Ellicottville, Franklinville, Lyndon, Ischua, Humphrey, Great Valley, Little Valley, Allegany, Hinsdale, Portville, Olean, Knapp Creek, and Weston Mills. Also, employees of Heritage Cutlery, Inc., a subsidiary of Lunt Silversmiths, who work in Bolivar, New York.
- Western Division Federal Credit Union - Membership is available to all STEL employees and any individuals that live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in the counties of Erie or Chautauqua, New York, are eligible. This includes current member's families including spouse, children, grandchildren, siblings, parents, grandparents, members of the immediate household, and family members of those who died while within the field of membership, regardless of where they may live.
Banks - HSBC.
HSBC provides a free website called "YourMoneyCounts". Its a financial website providing articles on money, credit, planning and goals. Money calculators and online courses are also provided. See http://www.yourmoneycounts.com/ for more information.

Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit is available to all full and part time staff members. Staff may set up to three (3) different direct deposit accounts. - New Direct Deposit Enrollments - Enrollment forms should be submitted to the payroll department no later than the Friday prior to payday. The first payroll after the initial enrollment will be sent through as a test, therefore a check will be issued to the staff member. If the test is successful the direct deposit will be processed for the second pay.
- Direct Deposit Changes - Direct deposit change forms should be submitted to the payroll department no later than the Friday prior to payday. Changes will be effective for the next pay, unless the staff member issue other written instructions to the payroll department.
