posted Jul 25, 2017, 1:03 PM by Wasiewicz, Mark   [ updated Jul 26, 2017, 10:51 AM ]

Dear Staff Members,

Our organization has agreed to participate in academic research on the topic of emotional labor.  Emotional labor is the occupational requirement of displaying certain emotions in order to meet the requirements of your job. For example – “Service with a smile!” or “Smile like you mean it!”  We believe this is an important topic, especially given the nature and complexity of the work that we do. Please consider participating in this research. This is a confidential study and participation is voluntary.

All employees of every job level and type are eligible to participate.Participation must be done online using the survey link provided below by the researcher. Simply click on the link to participate.

We understand that staff members may be pressed for time. That being said, we want to highly encourage all of our staff (especially those providing direct care) to please take the time to participate in this important research.

Leadership/Management – Please encourage your staff members to participate and please ensure that they have the opportunity to do so.

Respectful thanks,

Mark Wasiewicz
