Community Safety Training

posted Oct 24, 2011, 1:23 PM by Swan, Vivian

We are offering a Community Safety Training for staff to be held on Thursday, November 10 in (Room 117) and on Thursday, November 17 in (Room 119).  Both trainings are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the JCC North on Bennett Road, in Dunkirk.  The training will be provided by Paul Atwell, Nurse and Trained Safety Trainer from Lakeside Clinic.

The training will cover areas of on the job safety, home visit safety, transporting residents safely; safe ways to break holds, and red flags/triggers and alerts to assess safety when visiting clients etc.

We would like all SRO and Supported Housing staff to attend, all Treatment Apartment staff to attend and at a minimum Management (RM/ARM, Administrator/Assist Administrator) staff from Community Residences attend.  Other FT staff from CR’s are welcome to come if the programs can accommodate for scheduling. If not, we ask that Management staff bring training information back to the staff.

Staff only needs to attend one of the two sessions being offered.

Please RSVP to Vivian by Wednesday November 2nd on who will be attending and what session.  We will need to make the two sessions fairly even in number so I may need to request some date changes from those attending based on what session fill up the most.
