Katie Oakes Appointed to Assistant Residential Manager

We pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Oakes to the position of assistant residential manager for the Prendergast  Community Residence program. Since July 2015 Katie has served as a rehabilitation counselor at the residence.

Mental Health First Aid Training 2017 Registration

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) class registration is now open. Currently four classes are being offered. A fifth class may be added at a later time.

MHFA is required for all direct care staff members and is encouraged for all support staff members. 

All classes are 8 hours in length and will start promptly at 8:30 AM and end approximately at 4:30 PM. There will a 45 minute lunch break at mid day. Lunch is own your own. Feel free to "brown bag it".

Each participant will receive a MHFA workbook, we encourage participants to bring a pen and notepad for note taking.

Important Update - Direct Deposit February 16th

Today, Main Street Payroll informed us direct deposit will occur on our next payroll date Thursday, February 16th. The payroll processor completed a test run earlier today and stated direct deposit will occur with our first payroll. Please disregard our previous announcements about this matter.

ATTENTION ALL EMPLOYEES W/ DIRECT DEPOSIT

The Thursday, February 16th payroll will be the first payroll run with Main Street Payroll. Main Street Payroll is STEL's new payroll processor . As a result of this change EVERYONE will receive a paper check on this payroll date. Please do not discard your payroll envelope upon receipt, as your pay check will be within the envelope.  

All employees who submitted a "new" direct deposit form last month will have future payroll checks direct deposited beginning March 2nd. If you want direct deposit it's not too late to enroll. Please submit a direct deposit form  and send or FAX (716-366-7840) to Vivian Swan no later than Friday, February 10th.

Clock In/Out Change

Effective Monday, January 30th the Agency will begin using Easy Time Clock for time and attendance tracking. Therefore, staff members  whose shifts start late Sunday, January 29th or later will punch in on Easy Time Clock.

Emily Garey Appointed to Residential Manager

We pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Garey to the position of residential manager for the Aldrich St.Community Residence & Gowanda Apartment programs effective January 2, 2017. Since April 2013 Emily served as the assistant residential manager for the Gowanda Community Residence and Apartment programs. From July 2009 to July 2012 she worked as a rehabilitation counselor.

IMPORTANT - DIRECT DEPOSIT INFORMATION

Effective pay date January 8, 2017 (payroll period December 19, 2016 to January 1, 2017) STEL will migrate from using ADP to Main St. Payroll Services. As a result of this change we are required to have employees with direct deposit complete a new direct deposit form (see below). You may establish up to 4 direct deposits accounts. To setup deductions to more than 1 (one) financial institution please use separate authorization forms.

All authorization forms should be submitted via mail (715 Central Ave. Dunkirk, NY 14048), scan (swanv@stel.org) or FAX (716-366-7840) to Vivian Swan no later than December 12th.
